    01: Inquire & Book

    Whether you reach out via my contact form or book directly through my calendar, your spot is secured with a $100 session retainer. Most newborn sessions take place within the first two weeks of your baby’s arrival. Sessions can last from 1 – 3 hours, with plenty of breaks for feeding and snuggling.

    02: Plan with Ease

    Once booked, you’ll receive a helpful client guide with everything you need to know. I provide all wraps, outfits, and props in soft, organic tones–and you’re welcome to use my curated client closet for yourself and siblings too. I’m always here to help with outfit coordination.

    03: Session Day

    My newborn sessions are relaxed and baby-led. Whether you’re coming to my home studio or prefer an in-home session, you can relax while I gently guide you through the session. I’ll photograph a mix of naturally posed portraits and those real, emotional in-between moments you’ll treasure forever.

    04: Choose What yoU Love

    After your session, you’ll view a gallery of images and only purchase the ones you love. Choose from an in-person reveal or a private online ordering appointment.
    Collections start at $500, and include both digital images and heirloom-quality products.

    Hi, I’m Heidi and I’ve been photographing Eugene families for nearly a decade.

    I’m so glad that you’ve found my place on the web! As a mom, photographer, and a former teacher, I know how quickly time flies. The days with little ones may feel long, but the years really are so short. I became a photographer to help busy families–just like yours– preserve those beautiful, fleeting moments that pass by all too quickly.

    My own family is the heart of everything I do. They’re my “why”–and the reason I picked up a camera in the first place. I know how busy it gets, juggling life, family, and work–and I truly believe there’s beauty in the messy, imperfect moments too.

    The best time to book your newborn session is when you’re still pregnant to ensure availability. If you love those curled-up, sleepy poses, the ideal window is when your baby is around 2 weeks old. However, my natural, timeless approach to newborn photography allows me to create stunning images at any age—newborns are technically considered as such until they’re 8 weeks old! No matter when we capture these memories, it’s always the right time to start documenting your little one’s journey.

    No problem! I reserve flexibility in my schedule to accommodate early or late arrivals. Just notify me once your baby is born, and we’ll confirm the session date.

    Most newborn sessions take place in my cozy home studio, located at 4967 Hyde Lane. The studio is designed to provide a relaxing experience, with a play area for siblings, complimentary lattes and refreshments, and a curated wardrobe for moms, siblings, and babies.

    For added convenience, I also offer in-home sessions, bringing my services to the comfort of your space. Additionally, I provide Fresh 48 sessions, held at your place of birth, to document those tender, first-day moments.

    Newborn sessions typically last 2-3 hours, but I always block out the whole morning. This allows plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and documenting those precious in-between moments. You will not feel rushed, and I’ll ensure you’re comfortable and relaxed the whole session.

    Yes! I offer a selection of neutral and organic-colored wraps, outfits for the baby, and wardrobe options for moms and siblings to keep the session stress-free and cohesive. I’ll also provide a welcome guide that includes other tips to help you plan and coordinate outfits.

    Absolutely! I encourage family participation in the session to capture timeless, emotional moments with your new baby. This is true of ALL sessions that I offer. I do not charge an additional fee for immediate family members.

    You don’t need to bring much—just your baby and the essentials for feeding or soothing. I’ve got everything covered, from props and wraps to a curated wardrobe of outfits. My studio is fully equipped with a bottle warmer, nursing chair, and all the comforts to help you feel right at home.

    If you have sentimental items, like a hand-knitted blanket or a family heirloom, I’d love to incorporate them into some of the photos to make your session even more meaningful.

    Absolutely! I’m passionate about getting your photos off the cloud and into your hands. Corresponding digital images are included with all print purchases and are also part of all my collections, so you’ll have both beautiful physical prints and high-quality digital copies to cherish and share.

    Don’t worry! With years of experience working with newborns, I’ve mastered the art of patience and flexibility. I allow plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and breaks to ensure a relaxed, stress-free session. While it’s rare for things not to go smoothly, rest assured I capture plenty of beautiful moments throughout the session—even when your baby is awake. Those wide-eyed shots often end up being some of my favorites!
