Whether it’s an extended hospital stay, adjusting to life with a newborn, or simply taking the time you need to settle in, I understand that every family’s journey is different. That’s why I always work with my clients to find the best time for their newborn photo session, no matter when it happens.

In this case, the baby boy I photographed was 2 weeks old. While he was awake and alert for most of the session, I always take care to work at each baby’s pace. Whether your newborn sleeps the entire time or is awake and ready to explore, I tailor each session to capture them just as they are.

During this particular session, this 2-week-old baby boy was so alert and full of expression. Mom was able to borrow a stunning dress from my client wardrobe, and it looked absolutely gorgeous on her.
